Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers Nfl Preview 2011

Houston gave up an average of 205 rushing yards a game to the Jets, Titans and Jaguars over the first three weeks of the season. Defensive coordinator Frank Bush made a few adjustments, like all coaches should, and added a few wrinkles to a Texans defense that has not allowed no more than 46 yards on the ground through the past three weeks. Bush hopes his unit will be up for another challenge Sunday afternoon, when a healthy Frank Gore and the San Francisco 49ers invade Reliant Stadium.Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers live, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers live online, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers live kick off, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers live nfl, nfl live stream Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers live nfl where, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans vs San Francisco 49ers

The Texans offense should be able to put some points on the board against this 49ers’ defense.  After a great start to the season, the 49ers defense has slowed down a bit and are prone to giving up some big plays.  Matt Schaub should look to attack them deep since he has found a lot of success doing that lately.  Running back Steve Slaton needs to make sure he holds on to the ball.  He could be considered a good running back if were not for all his fumbles.  He has five already this season and eight in his short two year career.  The Texans coaching staff said stopping Slaton’s fumbles have been a point of emphasis in practice this week, so we will see if it pays off.  I really like the Texans’ passing game and although this will probably be a close game, I think the Texans will win by a touchdown.

Houston ranks 10th in the league this season in average time-of-possession at +2:46 per game, while San Fran ranks 18th at -1:04 per game.In playing their one common opponent so far this year, the 49ers got outgained by Arizona 299-203, but picked off Cardinals QB Kurt Warner twice on their way to a 20-16 week 1 victory. Two weeks ago, Houston outgained Arizona 416-340, but much of that came while they rallied from a 21-point deficit to tie the game. The Texans then gave up an interception return for a touchdown, and got stuffed on fourth-and-the-game from inside the Cardinals one-yard line in the final seconds in losing 28-21.
